1 · Who runs this website
This website is operated by the Eure and Smale Charity, a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 220042) with its registered office at The Almshouses, Beatrice Street, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 1QE. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the trust; “you” and “your” refer to anyone who uses the website.
2 · Purpose of the site
The site exists to share information about the trust's work and to allow visitors to subscribe to the quarterly dispatch, apply to volunteer, donate, register for events, and download resources. The site is not a transactional shop and we do not sell goods or services through it.
3 · Accuracy of content
We aim to keep all content on the site accurate, up to date, and helpful. Where we make a factual claim, we try to source it from our own records, the Charity Commission's public register, or our independent examiner. We do not, however, warrant that every page will be free of error at every moment; if you spot one, please let us know and we will correct it. We do not accept liability for any loss arising from reliance on the content of the site.
4 · Intellectual property
All written content and original photography on this site is © Eure and Smale Charity (no. 220042) unless attributed otherwise. You are welcome to share a link to any page; you are welcome to quote short passages for non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not reproduce a whole article or a substantial photographic set without our written permission. Third-party trademarks (Mailchimp, Severn Hospice, Age UK and so on) belong to their respective owners.
5 · Donations
Donations are processed by a regulated UK payment processor on our behalf. If you have made a donation in error or wish to request a refund, please write to [email protected] within 14 days. We will honour reasonable refund requests and may, in any event, refer the matter to the Fundraising Regulator. We are committed to the Fundraising Regulator's Fundraising Promise.
6 · Newsletter and subscriptions
Subscribing to the quarterly dispatch means you give consent for us to email you four times a year. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link at the foot of any dispatch, or by writing to [email protected]. We honour unsubscribe requests within seven days.
7 · Links to other websites
Where this site links to a third party (the Charity Commission, the ICO, ico.org.uk, the Almshouse Association and similar), we are not responsible for the content or practices of that third party. Links are provided for the visitor's convenience.
8 · Accessibility
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA, across the site. If you find a page that is not accessible to you, we want to know. Please write to [email protected] with the URL and a brief description of the problem; we will reply within five working days.
9 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be summarised in the next quarterly dispatch.
10 · Governing law
These terms and your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11 · How to contact us
