Donate to the trust

A small charity. Every pound spent within walking distance.

Your gift is allocated quarterly by eight unpaid trustees, against the running costs of ten almshouses and the present appeal for re-slating the south side of Eure's Row. We do not employ fundraisers and pay no commission. The full amount of every gift is at the disposal of the residents.

Where your gift goes

For every £100 donated in the year to 31 March 2025, the trustees allocated, on average:

  • £62 to the Repair Fund (slate, lime mortar, oak joinery)
  • £18 to the Winter Coal Allowance and heating supplements
  • £10 to garden upkeep and the Hearth & Hand programme
  • £6 to office costs (postage, paper, web hosting)
  • £4 to the Trustees' Library and small one-off welfare grants

Trustees take no payments. We have no employees.
